Description

Arles, masterpiece of the roman period in Provence

First we’ll cross the Crau Plain to arrive in Arles, masterpiece of the roman period in Provence, a site kept by the UNESCO (we’ll walk 2 hours). There you’ll discover: the Roman Amphitheatre (visit optional) the ancient theatre (visit optional). You’ll also see the Republic Square, the church Saint-Trophime, the town hall and the Forum Square. During your visit you’ll also follow in Van Gogh’s footsteps passing by 4 scenes he painted: The Yellow House, The Starry Night on the Rhône River, The Outside of The Café at Night, and The Garden of the Hospital (where he had treatment after cutting of his ear).
