Nous prendrons la direction des Alpilles afin d'arriver dans la vallée des Baux de Provence. Nous ferons alors une halte, si vous le désirez, à un moulin d'huile d'olive. Puis, devant vous, spectacle inoubliable de la lumière sur les Alpilles parsemées de champs d'oliviers et de vignes.
We'll drive towards the Alpilles to arrive in the valley of the Baux de Provence. Along the way, if you wish, we'll pause to see an A.O.C olive oil mill. Later, we will experience the unforgettable spectacle of light on the mountains, olive trees and grapevines.
Nous traverserons d’abord la plaine de la Crau et nous arriverons en Arles, chef d'œuvre de la romanité en Provence, classée par l'UNESCO (visite à pieds 2 heures). Vous découvrirez alors : l’Amphithéâtre et le Théâtre Antique Romain (visites optionnelles), la Place de la République, la Basilique Saint-Trophime, l'Hôtel de Ville, puis la Place du Forum. Au cours de notre visite vous découvrirez 4 des sites peints par Van Gogh.
First we’ll cross the Crau Plain to arrive in Arles, masterpiece of the roman period in Provence, a site kept by the UNESCO (we’ll walk 2 hours). There you’ll discover: the Roman Amphitheatre (visit optional) the ancient theatre (visit optional). You’ll also see the Republic Square, the church Saint-Trophime, the town hall and the Forum Square. During your visit you’ll also follow in Van Gogh’s footsteps passing by 4 scenes he painted.
Nous commencerons par visiter Arles, son Amphythéâtre et son Théâtre Antique Romain (2 heures de marche à pieds) et 5 des sites peints par Van Gogh. Vous déjeunerez ensuite aux Baux de Provence où vous aurez 2 heures pour visiter le village et les Carrières de Lumières. Fin de journée à Saint-Rémy de Provence où vous pourrez visiter Saint-Paul-de-Mausole où Van Gogh fut interné (visite optionnelle).
We’ll start the day in Arles (we’ll walk 2 hours) visiting the historic Gallo-Roman Amphytheater and Antic Theater where 5 different scenes Van Gogh painted. After a break for lunch, you will visit the medieval village of les Baux de Provence and the Carrières de Lumières. We'll end the day in Saint-Rémy de Provence where you'll visit the cloister Saint-Paul-de-Mausole (visit optional).
